Overview

This article explains the Windows-based BIOS configuration utility that HP provides in their System Software Manager (SSM) SoftPaq.

Information

The BIOS utility, BiosConfigUtility.exe, is a command-line utility. It can be deployed independently of SSM. When used together with a configuration text file, you can remotely enable Wake on LAN settings on your HP computers.

You will need to prepare the following before applying the Wake on LAN settings to the HP computers in your organization.:

• Get the BIOS configurations from your HP models.
• Create a master configuration file with only the Wake on LAN settings.
