Error: "Setup failed while installing Surveyor Server" While Installing Surveyor 6

Overview

While running the Surveyor 6.0.125 server installer, the installation fails with the below error message:

Setup failed while installing Surveyor Server.

 

Root Cause

The installer detects the presence of a scheduled task for DataSummarization prior to installing the server, thereby, causing it to fail.

 

Resolution

Removing the scheduled task for DataSummarization will resolve the error.

Note: If a server installation is canceled or fails, first check if the scheduled task was added. If that is the case, remove it before trying to run the installation process again.
